What started as coursemates who all felt passionately about the games they wanted to make has blossomed into an indie games studio co-owned by four friends. Different perspectives, talents and ideas combine together to create more than the sum of their parts.
With lofty ideals and unshakable will, Spiralize Studio strives forward in the art of making weird yet compelling games for the player looking for something unique to sink their teeth into. Whilst their first major project remains under its mysterious veil, the team promises it will be a thrilling debut.
For now, why don’t you click on the team to find out a little bit more about who makes up our studio?

"I'm Kim"
Kimera Royal is a programmer, game developer, musician, and so on. At Spiralize she is responsible for music and sound design, miscellaneous secretarial duties, and making this website.
Her fields of interest include experimental game design, interactive digital media, hypertext, and games intermedia. She goes out of her way to play a large amount of strange and obscure games, particularly those she finds on archived websites and old console libraries.
maia
"aim for the heavens!"
maia is the lead programmer and editor at spiralize studios. she is interested in the art of writing for games, and the myriad possible ways in which games can create unique narrative forms. she believes most games do not do this well. you should play ‘book of hours’, however.
Theo
"The most important part of being an artist is seeing things that aren’t there"
Lead Artist - From the depths of modding hell, Theo is summoned to bring the games to life!
Theo’s main goal is to create as many different art styles as possible, and to bring something truly tailored and unique to every project they work for. Their secondary goal is to master every video game genre there is. Recent inspirations include No I’m not a human, Cornilea Parker, and the recently spilt blood on the pavement. Life truly is beautiful.
They are most known for being an artist and manager for a Monthly Isaac mod, as well as the art for the very website you are on now.
The Phoenix
"To live, undaunted by the ugliness of the world."
Director, producer, writer – Wren fills many roles at Spiralize, and thoroughly enjoys doing so. Games are an art form with countless unfulfilled possibilities, and they believe that its team has the ability to realise those dreams.
When it comes to personal projects, it enjoys the creation of interactive fiction and visual novels – something you probably find pretty predictable. It’s also currently studying the link between games, play and the human psyche, focusing on both games as education and the impact that representations have on players’ behaviour.
Currently, Wren’s writing inspirations range from visual novel Z.A.T.O//I Love The World And Everything In It, to book series The Locked Tomb, to the cognitive disorders that plague its every conscious moment.
